I recently had the pleasure of dining at Darebin RSL Club during lunch, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic! 🌟 From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere exuded warmth, creating the perfect backdrop for a delightful meal. The entree soup was a culinary masterpiece, a burst of flavors that set the stage for the feast to come. The "roast of the day" was a true highlight—tender, succulent, and expertly prepared. It's evident that the chefs take pride in their craft, delivering a dish that exceeded my expectations. What truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff was not only professional but also engaging and friendly, creating a welcoming environment. The upbeat vibe in the air added to the overall enjoyment of my lunchtime visit. From the well-thought-out menu to the lively ambiance, Darebin RSL Club has certainly earned its place as a go-to spot for a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience. We'll be happy to update our review after more visits, but so far the food quality is below par. Wether the meals are trying to replicate the kind of cuisine one receives in nursing homes, who knows, but the $25 veggie burger I had was ridiculously overpriced for such a plain item. Un-buttered non-fresh bun with lettuce and two slices of tomato only, plus a patty with a small dash of mayo on top. No avo, onion (fried or raw onion would have been good), tomatto sauce or relish, or any kind of commitments or toppings which would normally bring a burger up to $25 gourmet status. This place is taking the mickey. With the bangers and mash, the mash and gravy with onion were good, plus the veggies, but the sausages were noticeably el cheapo. Though the 'bangers and mash' did come in handy - after putting some of the fried onion/gravy from the bangers and mash, which my wife mercifully donated, into the veggie burger, plus some Aioli (which we had to request - they sent the chips out without it), the burger tasted much better ! The patty itself was very good. Just everything around it - not. The spring rolls were almost empty. 80% - 90% fried pastry. One star for the food, an extra star for the carport covers. The parking area is excellent.

This beautiful newly renovated restaurant that is tucked away in a quiet area, in one of the most busiest roads in the Northern suburb is just an absolute delight! The staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. They are super attentive and the food also matches the great customer experience. Compliments to the staff out front and the chefs out the back!

Last night we had a function at Darebin RSL. There was approximately 60 of us and it was my grandsons baptism dinner party. All the guests had a wonderful time. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them especially the young manageress. The place was clean and beautifully presented. The food was fresh , tasty and arrived in a timely manner. The band started playing around 8 pm and was very entertaining. I was dubious about holding this event at an RSL club but I’m please to say I was totally wrong. They deserve 5 stars. Thank you lovely staff . 👍

The culinary offerings, while not groundbreaking, leaned towards the reassuring familiarity of comfort food. Portions were generous enough to challenge even the most voracious of appetites. However, the true essence of the Darebin RSL Club lies beyond its menu and any potential distractions. It's a haven of predictability, where the fare may not surprise but offers the comfort of familiar flavors, akin to the tales shared among its patrons. It's as if the past is carefully curated and plated for our reminiscence. It's a temple of nostalgia and fellowship, a place where stories are exchanged, bonds are formed, and the older generations find solace in the communion of shared experiences.
